Watoto ni Hazina (Children are Treasure)

In collaboration with consortium partners Rafiki SDO and Tanzania Women Miners Association, through this project, Pact is strengthening the capacity of government and civil society to reduce child labor and promote acceptable conditions of work in gold mining communities in the Geita region of Tanzania. Watoto Ni Hazina is also enabling key partners to produce and disseminate data, strengthen the capacity of the government of Tanzania to monitor and identify labor violations, and pilot effective community-based approaches for withdrawing children from illegal and exploitative labor conditions.
