USAID Hay Tao
USAID Hay Tao was a five-year project to build the enabling environment for effective community-based natural resource management and protection of biodiversity in Madagascar. Meaning ‘Know How’ in Malagasy, USAID Hay Tao focused on empowering local communities to lead the way in the management of their natural resources. The project used a systems approach to improve the enabling environment for effective, lasting community-based wildlife management and conservation of biodiversity.
