In Namibia, Pact has helped local organizations and government agencies to build their capacity to tackle the country’s most pressing challenges. Find out more below.

With funding from the U.S. government, Pact has helped Namibia to make marked strides in its fight against HIV and AIDS, mainly by strengthening Namibian institutions that provide HIV services and helping various local responders to coordinate their efforts.

Pact's work in Namibia dates to 2006, when we began building the capacity of Namibian government ministries and community-based organizations. With Pact's help, local organizations have strengthened their planning, budgeting, and managerial capacity – all of which are helping them to make lasting improvements in people's lives.

Pact has also worked to reach and sustain HIV epidemic control among pregnant and breastfeeding women, adolescents, infants, and children in Namibia. The ACHIEVE project, a global effort, focuses on priority PEPFAR countries across Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Caribbean. Learn more about ACHIEVE.
