Dominican Republic

With local communities, Pact has made sustainable change in the Dominican Republic in the areas of health and governance. Learn more below.

In the Dominican Republic, Pact has made a lasting difference in the fight to reach and sustain HIV epidemic control among key groups. This effort began under the ACHIEVE project and continued until 2025 under the Building Resilience project, which reduced barriers to HIV prevention and service delivery for Haitian migrants and descendants and their children.

In the realm of governance, Pact and our partners have advanced holistic citizen security in the Dominican Republic by strengthening local civil society organizations and civic leaders, and improving the legal and policy framework for supporting crime and violence prevention.
