Côte d'Ivoire

In Côte d'Ivoire, Pact worked with a team of global partners to accelerate reductions in maternal, newborn, and child mortality and morbidity. We strengthened referral systems, building the capacity of local entities and organizations to better plan, prepare, manage, and finance their programs, and strengthened the strategic planning and management capacity of the national government to improve health services.

Pact's work in Côte d'Ivoire has also included efforts to stem environmental degradation, with a focus on improving people's livelihoods. We built partnerships at the community, regional, and national levels to strengthen policies and systems for better natural resource management, and strengthened the capacity of local organizations working to protect ecosystems.
