Pact has worked in Asia for decades. We are one of the longest serving international organizations in Myanmar, and our earliest WORTH groups – an economic empowerment model that has reached more than 1 million women – began in Nepal.

Where We Work Asia

Over the years we have helped communities to build democracy and good governance, strengthen civil society, fight HIV and AIDS, access renewable energy and much more. Our partners have included USAID, UNDP, The Rockefeller Foundation, Chevron, The Coca-Cola Foundation, the U.S. State Department and others.

We have improved lives across Asia, building regional cooperation to address pressing challenges. In the Mekong region, we’ve supported efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, protect water and land resources, and build sustainable, socially responsible business models – positive change that will pay off for generations to come. In Cambodia, Pact helped thousands of women entrepreneurs to overcome barriers to success. In Myanmar, we holistically improved lives in thousands of rural villages, partnering with communities to strengthen livelihoods and increase access to critical health services and electricity.
